Young Meadows Park Trail
The Young Meadows Parks Trail is a new section of trail recently completed by the City of Montgomery Department of Public Works in partnership with River Region Trails. This route consists of new sidewalk along Bell Road, bike lanes added alongside the sidewalks on Young Meadows Road, and a new section of multi-use path along Vaughn Road. The result is a continuous pedestrian corridor that connects the Brewbaker School campuses on the south end all the way up to Woodmere Park on the north end. Ida Bell Young Park and Blount Cultural Park are major sites in the middle of the route. While the initial focus was on safely connecting the many residents along Young Meadows Road to the nearby parks, this trail provides a secondary benefit of calming traffic on Young Meadows Road. You can access this trail in many different places along the route, but parking is recommended at Ida Bell Young Park or at the Bark Park inside Blount Cultural Park.
